Frequently Asked Questions

How should I prepare?

We keep it simple – in a few weeks we will send you a brief but effective mindset activity. Finish it – be as honest as possible – and send it back. It will get you in the most effective mindset, and it will help us tailor this experience specifically to you and your child.

What is included in pricing?

The registration price includes accommodations, meals and activities for ONE parent and ONE child. It does not include flight and car rental.

Where should I fly into and when?

We recommend flying into Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC). You will want to arrive in SLC by approximately 2 p.m. and to Summit Powder Mountain (just over an hour drive from the airport) by 4 p.m. on Friday, June 9.
Plan to depart on the afternoon/evening of Sunday, June 11 (if you select the optional Family Fun Day at Utah Olympic Park, plan on a departure on the afternoon/evening of June 12).

Do I need to rent a car?

We highly recommend renting a car for the duration of your time in Utah. Rentals are conveniently located in-terminal in the Salt Lake City airport and approximate costs start at just $15/day. This is the easiest and most affordable option.

How do I get to Summit Powder Mountain?

After renting your car, it’s just a short drive (just over an hour) from Salt Lake City to Summit Powder Mountain. You may find directions here.

Are meals included?

Yes! And Summit Powder Mountain takes the phrase “farm-to-table” quite seriously. Expect a menu overflowing with fresh, seasonal, local ingredients.

Are accommodations included?

Accommodations are included in your ticket purchase, and will be shared modern mountain condos, just a 10-minute drive from most retreat venues. Each parent/child couple will have private bedrooms and bathrooms while enjoying large common spaces including kitchens, living rooms and game rooms with fellow retreat-goers. Our team works thoughtfully to curate these shared experiences.

When, where and what time is check in and check out?

Check in begins at noon on Friday, June 9 at the Bower Lodge, which is located at 3900 N Wolf Creek Dr., Eden, UT 84310.
Retreat activities begin at 4 p.m. on Friday, June 9, and conclude at 3 p.m on Sunday, June 11. Check out will be no later than 11 a.m. on Sunday, June 11. (If you’ve opted for the Family Fun Day, check out will be Monday, June 12).

Additional fee of $275 Includes one double-occupancy room at Summit Powder Mountain and breakfast for two.
Attendees are responsible for costs related to traveling from the resort to Utah Olympic Park and any activities and meals while at the park.

What should I bring/pack?

Keep it simple and casual, and remember that evening temperatures can dip into the high 30s and low 40s.
Don’t forget swimwear, a heavy jacket, a sweatshirt or sweater, pants for cooler evening weather, and shoes appropriate for hikes/walks and other outdoor fun.

What will we be doing each day?

While we love to keep some element of surprise to our events, you can expect each day to include morning warm ups, gratitude exercises, mastermind sessions and outdoor experiential sessions. See a sample itinerary here.

What should I expect?

Plan on leaving the retreat with a vastly stronger parent-child connection. Our attendees — both parent and child — report experiencing fundamental shifts in mindset and a renewed focus on the principles of living balanced lives.
