How should I prepare?
We keep it simple – a few weeks before the retreat, we will send you a brief but effective mindset activity. Finish it – be as honest as possible – and send it back. It will get you in the most effective mindset, and it will help us tailor this experience specifically to your family.
What is pricing and what is included?
Pricing is $2450 for first family member, $1900 each additional family member and age 3 and under are free. The registration price includes accommodations, meals and official retreat activities. It does not include flight and car rental.
Where should I fly into and when?
We recommend flying into Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC). You will want to arrive in SLC by approximately 2 p.m. and to Summit Powder Mountain (just over an hour drive from the airport) by 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 21.
Plan to depart on the afternoon/evening of Sunday, Sept. 23 (unless you elected to stay an additional night at Summit Powder Mountain).
Do I need to rent a car?
We highly recommend renting a car for the duration of your time in Utah. Rentals are conveniently located in-terminal in the Salt Lake City airport and approximate costs start at just $20/day. This is the easiest and most affordable option.
How do I get to Summit Powder Mountain?
After renting your car, it’s just a short drive (just over an hour) from Salt Lake City to Summit Powder Mountain. You may find directions here.
Are meals included?
Yes! And Summit Powder Mountain takes the phrase “farm-to-table” quite seriously. Expect a menu overflowing with fresh, seasonal, local ingredients.
Are accommodations included?
Accommodations will be a mix of private and shared full-amenity modern mountain condos, just a 10-minute drive from most retreat venues. Family members will have private bedrooms and bathrooms (children may share with parent, if desired) while enjoying large common spaces including kitchens, living rooms and game rooms with fellow retreat-goers. Our team will thoughtfully work with each family to curate any shared experiences.
When, where and what time is check in and check out?
Check in will be from noon – 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, 2018. Exact check in location will be announced closer to the event.
Check out will be no later than 11 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 23, 2018 (Unless you elected to add a night at Summit Powder Mountain).
Who else is attending?
Approximately 25 other fascinating entrepreneur families.
What should I bring/pack?
Keep it simple and casual. We expect daytime temperatures in the 70s and evening temperatures that can dip into the 40s.
Don’t forget swimwear, a heavy jacket, a sweatshirt or sweater, pants for cooler evening weather, and shoes appropriate for hikes/walks and other outdoor fun.
What will we be doing each day?
While we love to keep some element of surprise to our events, you can expect each day to include morning warm ups, gratitude exercises, mastermind sessions and outdoor experiential sessions. See a sample itinerary here.
What should I expect?
Plan on leaving the retreat with a vastly stronger parent-child connection. Our attendees — both parent and child — report experiencing fundamental shifts in mindset and a renewed focus on the principles of living balanced lives.
